We are interested in a crypto-native with a strong online voice to help populate our social spaces with engaging content, organize attractive events and draw in top cryptocurrency builders.

This role will require engaging with online communities in creative, unconventional ways, and contributing to the brand's image and strategy.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating community development strategy (such as ambassadors programs, giveaways) in conjunction with P2P’s Marketing Lead.
  • Coordinating with Moderators
  • Creating, curating and publishing content and engaging with the community across channels while abiding by the brand’s tone-of-voice.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with media and influencers
  • Triaging user support requests.
  • Designing and accompanying the workflows to enable contributors and coworkers to communicate.
  • Owning P2P’s communications with the public and gathering feedback.
  • Participating in (and hosting) AMAs and other public appearances.

Requirements

Experience that is 100% needed:

  • 3+ years experience in Community Management (blockchain or open-source projects are preferable)
  • Experience with social media and multimedia content
  • Proven track record in blockchain is a must
  • Conflict management experience
  • Experience with Discord, Twitter and Telegram

The Community Manager’s activity is supported by three goals:

  1. Promote Daata as the brand at the bleeding edge of fine art in web 3

The role requires someone who can juggle macro and micro responsibilities. This is an opportunity for a mid-career marketeer ready to roll up their sleeves and put their stamp on a rising brand at the intersection of contemporary art and web3.

Duties and responsibilities

You are responsible for all aspects of Daata’s marketing. The methods through which you succeed are entirely your choice. We want you to creatively make this role your own. Below gives an approximation of our expectations:

  • Define Daata’s approach to marketing, aimed towards achieving ambitious goals
  • Build, maintain, and operate a calendar of content, events, and activities designed to keep Daata’s community engaged with our commissions online and in-person
  • On-board new community-members across Discord, Social media and Newsletters.
  • Bring Daata’s activity to life through storytelling
  • Own and investigate all conversion touchpoints throughout our marketing funnels.
  • Work with the CTO to improve user experience across our website

  • Self-starter who can set their own goals and manage their time efficiently

  • You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and deliver high-quality daily chores alongside long-term strategies
  • Demonstrable experience working in marketing (minimum 5 years) including significant time working in web3 with NFTs (minimum 1 year)

The Role

Part of our mission at the Zcash Foundation is to support the Zcash ecosystem. To that end, we are seeking to engage a Community Support Coordinator to provide technical support to the Zcash community. 

Responsibilities of the role will include: 

  • Identify, triage and respond to technical support and ecosystem onboarding questions and issues raised on a variety of channels, including the Zcash Community Forum, Discord, Twitter, and other online and social media platforms.
  • Gain familiarity with commonly-used Zcash software and tools, in order to answer users’ questions and/or help them diagnose underlying issues or bugs.
  • Escalate complex issues as necessary by routing questions, requests, and feedback to the appropriate teams within the Zcash ecosystem, including the ZF and ECC engineering teams, and wallet developers.
  • Follow up on escalated issues, and track them to their resolution.
  • Eliminate common user support and onboarding inquiries by creating user support and educational content (e.g. writing documentation and FAQs, creating “How to” videos, hosting virtual workshops) to address specific support topics, and suggesting improvements to other teams’ support documentation to ensure that Zcash users can self-serve as much as possible.
  • Record and track user issues and challenges, feature requests, and other community feedback, and share findings with Zcash ecosystem product teams and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of Zcash Foundation events, including our annual conference, Zcon.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

This is a brand new role, so we expect its responsibilities and scope to evolve over time. The ideal candidate will be flexible in their outlook, proactive in seeking out new ways to improve Zcash users’ experience, and will embody the Foundation’s values while fully aligning with its mission and goals. 

The Community Support Coordinator will report to the Chief Operating Officer. This is a contract position, with an initial term of three months. Compensation will be commensurate with the successful candidate’s experience and skills, and is expected to be in the $35-60 USD per hour range. 

The ideal candidate will likely possess many (but not necessarily all) of the following personal attributes, skills, and experience:

  • Familiar with cryptocurrencies in general, and Zcash in particular.
  • At least two years’ experience in a user-facing technical support role (e.g. helpdesk, customer support specialist, customer success).
  • A technical background, with the ability to test software, attempt to replicate users’ issues, and help users diagnose problems on a variety of platforms (incl. Windows, Linux, MacOS, and mobile).
  • Strong communications skills, including fluent English (both written and spoken), and a talent for writing and communicating complex technical problems clearly.
  • Self-motivated, with a desire to learn and work independently, with limited supervision.
  • Empathy for users who possess limited technical knowledge, along with the ability to respond to users’ questions and feedback politely and patiently.
  • Capable of identifying common trends between support requests to pre-empt future issues.
  • Enjoys the challenge of solving open-ended problems in a timely manner, and tracking issues to their conclusion.

About the role
Our customer base is growing fast along with the features we are adding to support them. As a result, we have more questions, feedback, and engagement coming in than ever before. As we have just launched our Discord channel, we need a customer support specialist who can answer both new and old clients' questions. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines introducing our latest products and features to our clients and community.
 
As a customer support specialist, you’ll be the customer’s first point of contact as they encounter roadblocks. Because we are constantly adding new features to the existing stack, you are expected to have a keen knowledge of our latest products and be able to provide personalized instructions to customers via social media channels and live chat. You will act as the first point of contact for our Community, respond to the most common questions members may have, and gather all the necessary information before escalating to the higher support levels.

Requirements

    • 2+ years of experience in a customer support role;
    • Knowledge of analyzing and scaling Discord Community KPIs;
    • Experience with Discord automation and implementation;
    • A broad technical background and enjoy learning new technologies;
    • Capable of explaining complex ideas in plain language;
    • Professional live chat etiquette;
    • Discord growth knowledge
    • Excellent communication skills in English;
    • Deep interest in and understanding of DeFi & crypto;
    • Bonus points for speaking other languages, particularly Mandarin; 

Responsibilities

    • Hands-on support activities;
    • Engage with various stakeholders from our community;
    • Analyze new trends to engage and develop the discord community;
    • Ability to create documentation for our community;
    • Take ownership of clients’ support questions/issues;
    • Act as an escalation point for customer complaints/concerns about the products and service she/he is engaged with;
    • As part of a global support team, working on establishing operational protocols and standards;
    • Research questions using available information resources and advises users on appropriate action;
    • Working on creating the knowledge Base Articles/FAQ for our community;

Bonus Points

    • Knowledge of token economics, knowledge of creating interesting posts for our community
    • Knowledge of at least one of the following languages: Java, Python, TypeScript/Javascript, Bourne Shell
