Marketing Graphic Designer, Skyweaver and Sequence

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team and help take our content to the next level! As part of our Marketing team you will design various graphics for all channels and platforms we have a presence in, and in a variety of formats. You will fulfill all graphic design needs for all Horizon brands, but most notably for our game, Skyweaver, and from time to time, Sequence. You will be an essential part of the Marketing team as any and all visuals, images or graphics that the team will need for marketing, social media, community, live events, or website will be under your care and responsibility.

You will be part of a collaborative team working cross functionally with the dev, product, web, and community teams. This person needs to be a jack of all trades, able to work and adhere to very different brand guidelines and visual identities from one moment to the next, as Skyweaver and Sequence are two very different brands. 

You will communicate ideas and information through visual concepts. Primarily using design software, creating compelling visuals that inspire and captivate audiences. You will strategically combine design elements to develop aesthetically appealing layouts, advertisements, social media posts, web landing pages, banners, infographics, and more.

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating and editing a variety of marketing materials through various digital and print projects. You are conceptually driven and have a keen eye for typography and color. You care about the details. You approach design intentionally.

Reporting to the Product Marketing Manager, you will also be collaborating closely with Horizon’s Head of Design to ensure that you get the proper guidance on composition, brand adherence, etc. when working on Skyweaver. As for Sequence, you would collaborate with the Sequence branding team.

You will be expected to know how to design, produce and deliver:

-Email template designs

-Marketing promo images for game content and events -App Store promo visuals -YouTube video end card designs, After Effect text slates -Infographics (game stats, etc) -Ad creatives (UA, performance-based marketing) -Social Media engagement images -In-game event promotion images -Push notifications images -Physical prints, banners for booth design for live events + promo images for social -Print designs for swag/t-shirts -Contests/Sweepstakes promo images -Virtual events promo images (Twitter Spaces, livestreams, panels, etc)

Responsibilities:

-Design, produce, and maintain various marketing assets, including social media images, banners, ad creatives, deck presentations, print, tradeshow signs, assets for video, web promotional elements and all collateral images.  

-Create visual marketing assets for the Google Play Store & Apple App Store -Demonstrate creative thinking to produce new ideas and concepts.   -Present finalized ideas and concepts to internal clients and Head of Design -Take work from concept to final execution within deadlines.   -Update collateral and assets with new material or modified layouts.   -Collaborate with the different departments to develop creative solutions for their specific needs.   -Participate constructively in campaign and content brainstorms, visuals ideation and asset planning -Move fluidly between digital and print design understanding the nuances of each medium -Study design briefs and determine requirements -Identify the best ways to illustrate and communicate clients’ vision while complying with design best practices -Create designs using illustration, photo editing and layout software -Select colors, images, typography and layout for communication materials, including websites, logos, signs, advertisements, and social media posts, web banners, infographics -Produce drafts for client review and make revisions based on feedback received -Collaborate with other team members, such as marketing, product, and operations throughout the various phases of a project -Keep up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies -Manage a creative pipeline that facilitates output of deliverables in a timely manner

A portfolio is obligatory with your application. 

Minimum qualifications:

-3 years experience in digital design (agency or studio) 

-1-2 years in games marketing, a plus -Has worked in at least one marketing or advertising team in the past. -Well versed in the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Figma  -Knowledge of Adobe After Effects, and Premiere -Experience with responsive web and interface design  -Basic understanding of HTML, CSS & some integration skills; and current web design trends  -Print design experience; particularly for tradeshow booths, handouts, and banners -Ability to work with multiple internal clients and projects simultaneously, prioritize projects and meet deadlines.   -A strong demonstration of typography-driven design in your portfolio -An incredible design portfolio showcasing your branded design abilities -Versatile skill set including motion design, a huge plus -A creative and analytical mindset that fuels your curiosity to test new ideas. -An attention to detail; an appreciation for quality in design, composition and implementation; -A capacity to consider multiple design options depending on the context of a product; -Able to define and estimate your task in an organized manner; -Creative, conscientious, methodical, and organized.  -Willing to learn and grow within the team.   -Positive team player; solution orientated with an entrepreneurial attitude; thrives in a fast-paced and growing business -Exceptional communication skills, both visual and written -Commercially minded and innovative creative thinker -Adopts a collaborative way of working, forming strong relationships
