The Metaverse Finance and FP&A team oversees our investments in new product development, headcount, operating expenses, and strategic investments. We focus on using our unique view into the numbers to see trends and opportunities that are developing within the company as well as across the industry. Successful candidates for this team have a bias towards action, exceptional partnership and communication skills, and know-how to balance getting the details right while still moving fast. You will join the team that manages the finances for Facebook Reality Labs (FRL), which plans to release multiple hardware and software products over the next few years. In this role, you will own finance and partner with product leaders for Metaverse product development as well as analyze and manage Headcount and operating expenses for a growing organization. You will gain invaluable experience in a position which offers significant responsibility and interaction with business management as well as considerable opportunity to have a large impact within a growing Finance organization. Finance Associate, Metaverse Responsibilities

  • Understand, impact, and influence business investment decisions through detailed financial analysis
  • Provide hands-on analytical support and develop actionable insights throughout the product development process
  • Drive data driven decision making & analysis of product decisions and strategic roadmap investments
  • Manage all FP&A activities for a growing FRL team including budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning in a dynamic R&D and production environment
  • Deep dive into critical investments, HC requirements, and long-term strategic implications of agreements
  • Provide insights to business partners through variance analysis, scenario based modeling and long-range forecasting
  • Own ad hoc strategic financial analysis as required, and drive process improvements by partnering with cross functional owners
  • Create strong and influential business partnerships with product and functional leaders across the FRL business

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of finance, consulting, business operations experience or in a related analytical field
  • 3+ years of FP&A experience
  • Experience developing analytical frameworks and communicating financial concepts to leadership
  • Experience partnering with and influencing functional leaders
  • Experience with building advanced financial models in Excel
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Essbase, and Hyperion
  • Experience in accounting concepts and financial planning
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with senior leadership
  • Experience prioritizing and working independently and navigating ambiguity
  • Organized, detail-oriented, experience in multitasking, and a team player

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accounting Experience
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in an investment bank or a high-growth tech company
